Introduction

OC&C Strategy Consultants is an international strategy consulting firm. We bring strategic advice to the top management of leading companies. OC&C has its roots in Europe but also operates from offices in North America and Asia.

Within Europe, OC&C has offices in Benelux, France, Germany, and the UK. Since the late 1980s we work in strategy development, organisational and process improvement, and change management across all industries. Our engagements rangeg from several weeks to several months. We have special expertise in FMCG, retail, media, telecommunications, transportation and logistics, and private equity.

The work in practice

The work of a consultant is diverse and brings with it great responsibilities. You work in teams on a variety of assignments in different industries. The work depends on the type of project but ranges from analyzing customer data or market modeling to conducting interviews. You analyze the findings with your team to develop insights and solutions, and present these to the client. Our teams work mostly on site at the customer, but we try to be in our own office on Fridays in order to share our experiences and keep track of each other.

We look for superior analytical skills and curiosity. We look for people who are entrepreneurial, driven, mature and who have a no-nonsense mentality, who thrive on teamwork and take a positive yet critical attitude. Experience shows that successful candidates tend to be graduates with degrees in engineering, science or (business) economics.

Careers

Consulting at OC&C is a platform for professional and personal growth. Graduates with no prior work experience start as Associate Consultant, developing a firm basis of consulting skills on the job. Career advancement involves promotion to the role of Consultant and, subsequently, Project Manager and may ultimately result in election to the partnership. How fast you develop and will take on more responsibility in the teams is largely up to you.

OC&C works seamlessly in mixed teams and, through the exchange of people, also internationally. We also run a so-called “Ambassadorship Program” involving six-to-nine-month secondments to another office.

Selection process

We are permanently looking for interns and new joiners (University graduates, Master’s and Bachelor’s level). Graduates and students who are interested in pursuing a career as a strategy consultant with OC&C need to send their application to the OC&C office, in which they desire to work. The application should contain a CV, a letter explaining their motivation, copies of their university and high school diplomas (including graduation scores) and credentials of relevant work experience or internships. On the basis of this information, we may invite you to our office for numerical tests and case interviews. This may be followed soon by a second round of interviews with several Associate Partners or Directors of our firm which will decide whether we make you an offer to join us.
